Event Types Summary Screen

Manage event types - add, edit and delete event types from the event types summary screen

Event types can be managed from the event types summary screen. Two standard event types exist for all companies, namely Message and Timer. Custom event types can be added.

Only administrators can access the event types summary screen.

Navigate to the Event Types Summary Screen

  1. Select Settings

  2. Select Event Types

Standard Event Types

Two standard event types exist for all companies, namely Message and Timer. These standard event types cannot be edited or deleted.

  1. Message - Starts when a message is received (e.g., an email)

  2. Timer - Starts at a set time or interval

Add Custom Event Types

  1. Select green Add button in the top right corner

  2. Add Event Type card will open. Add the title/description and choose an icon

  3. Select the green Add Event Type button at the bottom of the card

The new event type will display on the screen and be available to add to processes and value streams.

Edit Custom Event Types

  1. Select the title of the event type you wish to edit

  2. Update Event Type card will open up

  3. Make the necessary updates to the title/description and icon

  4. Select the green Update Event Type button

Delete Event Types

Event types can only be deleted when they are not used in any processes or value streams.

  1. Select the event type(s) to delete by selecting the empty box before them

  2. Select the Delete button in the top right corner

  3. Confirmation card will pop up, select yes
