What are Multiple Starting/Entry Points?
Sometimes there are multiple ways to enter into a process/ to start a process. This means that there’s more than one way for someone (a user, system, or trigger) to start the same process. Instead of having a single fixed starting point, the process can begin from different situations or actions.
How to Indicate this on a Map
Multiple entry points on a process can be created by adding triggers to the starting point. Different trigger types can be used to indicate different things that would start the process: generic, email, time, process. Triggers are not visually indicated on the map, but they are visible on the process steps and in the TIO tab, available in the right-hand diagram content menu.
