Exporting Risks and Controls

Export risk and control summaries as CSV files with filtering and UTF-8 encoding.

Written by James Ross

Overview

You can export your risk and control summary data as CSV files for reporting, analysis, or sharing outside ProcessPro. Exports respect your current filters and search terms.

Exporting the Risk Summary

Quick Steps

  • Navigate to Risk Manager > Risks tab

  • Verify the Export button is visible on the data table

  • Click Export

  • A CSV file is downloaded

CSV Contents

  • Columns match the data table: Title, Inherent Risk, Residual Risk, Categories, Owner, Controls, Review Date, Status

  • All risks for the current company are included (unless filtered)

  • File name format: YYYY-MM-DD_Risk_Summary.csv

Exporting the Control Summary

  • Navigate to Risk Manager > Controls tab

  • Click Export

  • A CSV file is downloaded with columns matching the control summary table

  • File name format: YYYY-MM-DD_Control_Summary.csv

Filtered Exports

Exports respect your current table state:

  • Apply a search filter (e.g. "cyber") on the summary table

  • The table shows filtered results

  • Click Export — the CSV contains only the filtered rows

  • Row count in the CSV matches the filtered table count

Exporting All Data

To export all risks or controls (not just filtered results):

  • Clear all search filters on the summary table

  • Verify all records are shown

  • Click Export

CSV Encoding

CSV files are encoded in UTF-8. Special characters (e.g. accented characters) are preserved and display correctly.

Exporting Tasks

The Reviews & Assurance tab also supports CSV export:

  • Navigate to Risk Manager > Reviews & Assurance

  • Apply any search filters if needed

  • Click Export

Important: Exported CSV files reflect the data at the time of export. They are not updated if records change after the download.
