Identify the Source Company
When viewing a Global Object from another company, the source company is displayed. This indicates that:
The object was created in another company.
The object is being shared with the current company.
Changes must be made in the source company.
The information displayed on a Global Object belongs to the source company.
This includes information such as:
Roles
Users assigned to roles
Stakeholders
For example, if the same role exists in both companies, the Global Object displays the users assigned to that role in the source company.
Global Chip
A Global chip appears under the object title when its access level has been set to Global.
The chip helps identify objects that are available across companies.
The chip indicates that the object is:
Global – the object has been made available to other companies.
Global + company name – when viewing the object from another company, the chip shows the source company where the object is managed.
The source company name helps distinguish a Global Object from objects created and managed in the current company.

The Global chip can appear wherever the object is displayed, including:
Process lists
Summary pages
The Directory
Other areas where objects are displayed
For Global Objects viewed from another company, the source company is also shown with the object. To go to the source company, select the green Go to source company button at the top of the process map.
Edit a Global Object
A Global Object can only be edited in its source company.
When viewing the object from another company, users cannot make changes to it.
This includes changes such as:
Editing the object
Adding stakeholders
Adding associations
Managing other object information
What can be done
Users in a company with access can:
View the published Global Object.
View its information.
Leave feedback.
Use the object where Global Objects are available for selection.
To make changes to the object, use Go to Source Company and make the changes in the company where the object was created.
