Time and Cost Analysis and Comparisons

View the financial implications, in terms of materials and time spent on activities, and the potential total cost for a process.

To understand how the time and cost analysis feature can provide your organisation with a deeper understanding of cost implications please read the time and cost analysis feature article.

As an administrator, you can set the View Cost Analysis permission for users.

To activate the time and cost information on a process, follow the steps below:

Quick Steps

  1. Select the relevant process

  2. Open the Actions menu in the diagram content menu on the right-hand side

  3. Switch on the Enable Time and Cost toggle

  4. Edit the activities to set the processing and wait times

  5. Click on the time and cost icon in the diagram content to see a list version of time and cost, or to run comparisons with other processes or other versions of the same process

  6. If there are no costs associated to the roles, this can be added by an administrator in roles under settings

To view the timeline on the map, switch on the toggle 'Display embedded view' that's also found under Actions.

Administrators and users (with view cost analysis and create role permissions) can update a role's cost per hour within the Time and Cost analysis details screen. The cost does not display a currency.
