Print Linked Processes in a Value Stream

Value streams usually have multiple linked processes within the map. Using the 'Include underlying processes' toggle you can print them.

Value streams are used to create a high level flow of multiple linked processes to show what processes need to be performed before another starts.

As a user, you can choose to include underlying processes (up to one level) when you print a value stream to PDF.

Quick Steps

  • Bulk select or open an individual value stream

    • The include linked processes toggle will be on by default

  • Click the green print button

  • Open the printed file

The value stream will appear as the first printed map in the file. All linked processes will appear in order of process ID.

The only process that will not print if linked is a private process. Private process titles will show in the file on a new page with 'This process is private' at the top of the blank page.

If the toggle is turned off by a user before clicking on the green print button, the underlying processes will not be included in the file, only the value stream will be printed.
