Manage Note Types

Note types can be created, edited and deleted by administrators within the administrator settings.

As an administrator, you have the ability to create, edit and delete different note types for your current company. These note types will appear within the add note modal within a process or value stream.

The 5 original note types (standard, question, tip, warning, exception) will be available as default types.

Create a Note Type

  • From the Settings click on Note Types

  • At the top select Add Note Type

  • Fill in the details

    • The description and icon are compulsory fields

    • The colour will display in light mode

    • The alternative colour will display in dark mode

  • Click on the green Add Note Type button at the bottom of the modal

The newly created note type will be added to the list of types and can now be selected in the dropdown menu when creating new notes.

Edit a Note Type

  • Click on the description of a note type

  • The Update Note Type pop up will open

  • Update the fields you want to change

  • Click on the green Update Note Type button at the bottom of the pop up

The note type should update in the table and appear when adding notes into a process or value stream.

Deleting Note Types

  • Click on the checkbox of the note type you want to delete

  • Click the Delete button at the top of the page

Only note types that have not been used can be deleted. You will need to remove, or change, the note type from the process or value stream before the type can be deleted.
