Move Nodes from a Branch into the Happy Path

A node (actvitiy, decision, process link, event) can be moved out of the happy/main path into a branch and the other way around.

When a node is removed from a branch, the child nodes will move into the main flow of the process or value stream.

Using the steps below, edit the activity/ event/ process link/ decision that you want to remove from the branch.

Quick Steps

  • Edit the child node by opening the Update card.

  • Select the Connectors tab.

  • Click on the x beside the parent node (the node that appears above the node you are editing).

  • Click on Update. The child node will now move out of the branch into the main path.

When a branch has multiple child nodes, deleting a parent node will allow the second node to become the parent node.
