When creating processes or value streams activities, process links and decisions may need to be moved. Users can easily rearrange the order by dragging and dropping the cards on the diagram content menu. The numbering of the moved nodes will be updated automatically according to the node's new position.
Quick Steps
Ensure the Move/Select toggle is on the Move side
Select the drag and drop icon beside the item you want to move
Drag and drop the item to the new position
When a decision is moved, the attached activity or process link will move to the new location with the decision.
When an activity or process link that is attached to a decision is dragged and dropped to a new position, the decision will not follow and will be left with no link.
Draggable options include:
Move an activity out from a gateway, and into the normal flow
Move an activity out from a gateway and into a branch between two nodes in the branch
Move an activity out from a gateway to the last position of a branch
A confirmation message should ask if the node should be part of the branch
Move an activity from the normal flow into the last position of the branch
A confirmation message should ask if the node should be part of the branch
Move an activity from the normal flow, into a branch
Move an activity from one branch to another branch
Move an activity from a branch to a position in the normal flow
Move an activity from a branch into a gateway
Move a node from any position to the end of the branch
A confirmation message should ask if the node should be part of the branch
Exceptions
You cannot move a decision between another decision and its attached activity or process link
You cannot move a decision between two activities or process links in a branch
Moving an activity or process link that is attached to a decision will move the individual node and not the decision
