There are different types of stakeholders in the system:
Owners
Experts
Authors
Informees
Owners
This is the role that owns the process, value stream, managed document or attachment. Only one role can be the owner. If there are multiple users assigned to the role selected as owner, all users will be assigned as the owner. These users can be added or removed in the administrator settings.
Only roles and responsibilities can be selected as an owner. Unassigned and All Staff cannot be selected.
Experts
An expert is typically someone who provides advice or guidance because they have specialised knowledge in certain areas. There can be multiple experts assigned to a process, value stream or managed document. The roles assigned as experts can have many users associated to them. Users can be added or removed from roles in the same way as the owners.
Only roles and responsibilities can be selected as experts. Unassigned and All Staff cannot be selected.
Authors
An author is the writer of the process. The author is the specific user that created the process, value stream, managed document or attachment. Only one user is assigned and is not linked to the roles. This ensures there is clarity as to who exactly created the item. The responsibility of the author is to create and edit, even though they are not the owner or an expert.
Informees
Informees are different. While they are also located in the stakeholder's tab, they are for notification purposes only. Informees are added to processes, value streams and managed documents to ensure that the correct users are notified about changes that they need to be aware of. Informees do not have any other permissions, like editing. Read more about different informees.
