As a stakeholder or an administrator, you can adjust the position of alternate path lines. This feature is very limited as to the direction in which you can move the lines and is only available in the swimlane view as below.
When you click on an alternate path line, the line will turn blue, and boxes will appear along the line to indicate where you can click and drag the line. The arrow on your mouse will indicate which direction you can move the line. The line can only move up/down OR left/right. Click on the line again and the line will return back to grey.
If you make an edit to an activity and the alternate path line does not follow as expected, open the alternate path options on the start point of that path and click on the Apply button again. By doing this, you will be refreshing the alternate path to its default position.
When duplicating or transferring processes, the modified alternate path lines should retain the same position as in the original map.
We recommend adjusting alternate path lines only after completing your process map to ensure they remain in the correct positions and aren’t reset by further changes.
