As a stakeholder, you can request users to acknowledge that they have read and understood a new, or updated managed document, process or value stream. To do this you need to have the allow acknowledgement permission enabled.
In the actions page in a managed document, process or value stream, you can switch on the acknowledge changes on publish toggle at the bottom of the page. This toggle will send a request to all users associated to the item to acknowledge that they have read and understand it. If you switch the toggle on for an item it will always be remembered for that specific item.
The Request Acknowledgement button in the actions page, allows stakeholders to send an acknowledgement request at any time. The button is only active in published, overdue and private managed documents, processes and value streams. Stakeholders are able to send a request to all active users associated to the item, or only to users that have never received a request to acknowledge the item before.
When a request to acknowledge an item is made, based on which option was selected, users should receive a task in their task summary screen and should have an acknowledge button within the item that the request was sent for. When there are active tasks for user to complete the acknowledgement, a view acknowledgement progress button will appear below the acknowledge request button to view the progress of each users task. This button allows stakeholders and administrators to see who has completed the acknowledgement and who hasn't.
The request acknowledgement button will remain on the actions menu for stakeholders to request acknowledgement from users that have been added to roles after the original request was sent. Only the "users who have not received a task" option will be available as you cannot send duplicate acknowledgement tasks to users.
