Only administrators can view, add, update, delete software systems. Users with the relative permissions can use the associated tags and glossary terms in objects.

Quick Steps to Set Up a Software System

  1. Setting

  2. Software Systems

  3. Select the green Add button in the top right corner. The Add Software System popup will appear with four tabs at the top: Details, Stakeholders, Properties, Change Log.

  4. Fill in the details:

    1. Title

    2. Description

    3. Associated Tags

    4. Associated Glossary Terms

  5. Switch to the Stakeholders tab and fill it in:

    1. Select an owner from the dropdown. Set the primary stakeholders if desired.

    2. Select an author from the dropdown.

    3. Select informees from the dropdown (optional).

  6. Switch to the Properties tab and fill it in:

Quick Steps to Delete a Software System

Note that once a software system has been deleted, it is removed from the system and cannot be reinstated. It would need to be created again. The associated glossary terms and tags will be unaffected if a software system is added, edited or deleted.

Quick Steps to Edit a Software System

  1. Select the title of the software system that needs to be edited.

  2. Make the required updates. Switch between the tabs to update the relevant details: Details, Stakeholders, Properties.

  3. Select the green Update button.
