Import a Process from Microsoft Excel

Quickly and easily transfer information from Excel to ProcessPro using the template provided.

This feature requires the Add Process or Administrator permission to be enabled.

Importing from Excel can save time by allowing you to quickly convert information into ProcessPro Processes.

Quick Steps

  1. Open the processes screen from the left navigation

  2. Click on the Import button above the list of processes

  3. Below the table, click Download Template

  4. Fill in the template and save the file (additional details below)

  5. Click Browse

  6. Select the template from your PC folder

  7. Click Import Process

You need to ensure that you have selected a group to save in and an owner for the process.

Once you have imported the process you can find it in the processes screen and the directory.

Template Details

It is important to use the template provided to ensure the information is correctly imported.

  1. All fields are optional, but the headings must be left as is

  2. Tasks must start one level below activities to be recognised as belonging to the activity

  3. If a Performed by Role is not provided, the owner you select as part of the import will be allocated

  4. If a role is new, a new role will be created in the company

  5. The default activity type is user activity

  6. Multiple roles and tags must be separated by semicolons. Without this the separate parts will be recognised as one item and joined together.
