After recording a screen guide, each step includes a screenshot of what was on your screen at that moment. Before importing into ProcessPro, you can edit these screenshots to highlight important areas, remove sensitive information, or crop out unnecessary browser chrome.
Accessing the Screenshot Editor
Stop your recording (see Recording a Screen Guide).
In the recording panel, click on any step to view its screenshot.
Click Edit to open the screenshot editor.
Editing Tools
Cropping
Click and drag to select the area you want to keep.
Click Apply to crop the screenshot to the selected area.
Useful for removing browser toolbars, bookmarks bars, and other UI noise.
Highlighting
Use the Rectangle tool to draw attention to a specific area.
Red outlines with a solid line are applied by default.
Click and drag to draw the highlight around the relevant element.
Redacting
Use the Redact tool to hide sensitive information.
Click and drag over text or areas you want to obscure.
Useful for hiding personal data, passwords, or internal URLs.
Quick Steps
Open the recording panel after stopping your recording.
Click on the step whose screenshot you want to edit.
Click Edit to open the screenshot editor.
Use crop, highlight, or redact tools as needed.
Click Save to apply your changes.
Repeat for other steps as needed.
Note: Screenshot edits are saved to the recording. If you re-export or re-import the recording, your edits will be preserved.

Crop consistently - keep the same area across all screenshots for a professional look
Highlight the action - draw attention to the button, field, or link the user needs to interact with
Redact sensitive data - always check for personal information, test credentials, or internal URLs before publishing
Don't over-edit - screenshots should be clear and easy to understand at a glance
