Map Layout and Navigation (Process/Value Stream)

This article helps beginner users navigate their process map and understand the map layout.

In the below image, the main items that are found on a map are labelled for easier understanding. You may not have all of these items displayed on your map, depending on your company permissions and user permission. For questions about accessing more features, contact your company administrator.

  • Company/environment that you are working in is displayed in the top left of the page. To change the company that you are working in, select it from the company dropdown.

  • Buttons on the left of the screen is known as the left navigation menu. This takes you to different areas of the program.

  • Green help button at the bottom left of the screen can be accessed at any time for any questions. Here you will find:

    • A library of help articles, describing every feature in detail with images and video snippets.

    • Our help bot that is able to answer questions about ProcessPro functionality and features with great accuracy.

    • The option to talk to a person at ProcessPro Support.

  • Title can be found at the top of the map.

  • Buttons at the top of the map provides different actions that I can perform in my map, like print, share, edit information (properties), delete, favourite (set this item as a favourite), preferences, export, AI tools.

  • Green action buttons on the left of the map are an easy way to add objects to the map. Hover over the buttons to see the title of the button/expand the buttons.

  • The blocks on the map are called nodes.

  • Allocated roles.

  • Connector lines in ProcessPro is the visual connection between nodes (activities, decisions, events, or process links) on your process map.

  • At the top right of your map, your profile can be found

  • The right-hand side diagram content menu lists the process steps by default. Many other options and information can be found by selecting different tabs.

  • The process id is found in the URL. The process id is the four numbers that are displayed at the end of the URL. In the below example, the process id is 8390:
